Mary Florence Blackmon, 85, of Montevallo died Monday, Nov. 7, 2005, at home. She was born in Arkansas.

She attended Burning Bush Church in Jemison. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan Blackmon.

She is survived by her daughters, Janie (Gilbert) Kendrick of Montevallo, Florence Hardin of Alabaster and Judy (Leon) Wydemon of Birmingham; her sons, Nathan (Susie) Blackmon Jr. and Charles (Alice) Blackmon, both of Helena; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Service was Nov. 10 at 11 a.m. at Lemley Chapel in Oneonta, Brothers Bobby Franklin and Wade Adkins presiding. Burial followed in Lebanon Cemetery
