James C. Phillips, 19, of Fultondale died Nov. 13, 2005. He attended Shelby County High School and had recently enlisted in the U.S. Navy as a medical corpsman.

He is survived by his parents, Shannon and Martin Owens; two sisters, Cindy and Charlotte; his grandmother, Patsy Blake; his grandfather, Martin Blake and Bobby Owens; his great-grandmothers, Emogene O’Mary and Doris Daniel; his uncle, Jason Blake; his aunt, Melanie Singer; and numerous cousins, family and friends.

Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel handled the arrangements.
