Robert Charles Coan, 58, of Midfield died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005. He was born Oct. 19, 1947, in Birmingham.

He was retired from the Midfield Police Department.

He is survived by his children, Leigh Coan and Laura Coan of Birmingham; his mother, Ruby Nell Coan of Fourmile; his siblings, Jo Ann Patterson of Decatur, James Coan of Knoxville, David Coan of Birmingham and Jerry Coan of Mandeville, La.; and other family and friends.

Graveside service was Nov. 19 at Fourmile Cemetery with visitation at Fourmile Baptist Church, Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home directing
