Effie Salena Strohm, 95, of Louisville, Ky., died Monday, Nov. 28, 2005, at home.

She was born in Wilsonville and was a resident of Louisville, Ky., for more than 70 years. She was a 1933 graduate of the former Kentucky Baptist Hospital and a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank William Strohm.

She is survived by her daughter, Catherine Ann Doran; three grandchildren, Beth Maddux, Tom Doran and Jim Doran; three great-grandchildren, Heather, David and Brittany Maddux; nieces and nephews in Alabama and Florida; and her cat, Abby.

Service was Dec. 3 at 11 a.m. at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home in Louisville, Ky., with burial following in Cave Hill Cemetery.
