Boy’s Tuesday night hoops: Thompson tops rival Pelham

The Thompson Warriors came out firing Tuesday night, taking an early 16 point lead in the first quarter and eventually defeating rival Pelham, 53-30, on the road.

Laderreous Kelley and Gary Cunningham both had 13 points for the Warriors, while Devin Onarheim picked up 11 boards.

Pelham’s Stephen Clark finished with 12 points for the Panthers.

Spain Park 59, Hoover 55

The Spain Park Jaguars downed rival Hoover Tuesday night thanks to the efforts of Adam Mims, who finished the game with 21 points, seven rebounds and four assists.

After trailing in the first quarter to the Bucs, the Jags went on a 20-10 run in

the second to take the lead at halftime.

Michael Mullins aslo scored in double figures for Spain Park, finishing with 11 points.

Fultondale 57, Chelsea 47

Davin Palmer scored 14 points in the fourth quarter for Chelsea Tuesday night, but it proved to be too late for the Hornets, falling to Fultondale, 57-47.

Palmer finished the game with a team-high 22 points as Chelsea dropped to 3-3 on the season.

Altamont 69, Vincent 39

Altamont had its way with the Yellow Jackets Tuesday night, winning easily, 69-39.

Cameron Posey led the Jackets in the loss, scoring at eight points. Vincent falls to 6-5 on the season.

Oak Mountain 44, Vestavia Hills 37

Justin Luquire scored a double-double Tuesday night to help his team defeat the Vestavia Hill Rebels, 44-37, and advance its record to 8-1 on the season.

Luquire finished the game with 12 points

and 10 rebounds for the Eagles.

Indian Springs 54, Lyman Ward 26

John Bains finished with 16 points, five rebounds and five steals Tuesday night as Indian Springs easily defeated Lyman Ward, 54-26.

Brett Janich added 11 points and nine boards in the winning effor
