-Information Only – Damage to City Property from 1285 Mission Hills Road. Damaged were the underside of a vehicle, a BFI garbage can and mailbox post.

-Burglary/Criminal Mischief from Rite Aid from 140 Market Center Drive. A glass door received $400 damage. Taken were 70 cartons of cigarettes valued at $2,455.

-Theft of Property Shoplifting from Rite Aid. Two Oral B 9000 TB Triumph Pro-Care toothbrushes valued at $280 were taken.

-Forgery from Wal-mart. Involved were four fraudulent checks on a SouthTrust Bank account valued at $246.43.

-Information Only Property Damage from Shelby Baptist Medical Center. A 2005 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck received damage to the passenger rear door and area underneath the rear door and running board area near the rear tire on the passenger side of the vehicle.

-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia from the 100 Block of the Alabama Highway 25 Bypass. Recovered were a light bulb altered into a pipe, a metal pipe with some residue in it and a plastic glue tube with strange smell and residue, valued at $1 each.

-Theft of Property from the 300 Block of West College Street. Some 1100 to 1200 hours of false hours were reported at a pay rate of $9 per hour totaling about $10,000 stolen value.

Jan. 2

-Criminal Mischief/Reckless Endangerment from the 200 Block of Buie Road. A windshield received $500 damage. Feet were used in the offense.

-Theft of Property from the 300 Block of West College Street between the checkout and parking lot of Piggly Wiggly. Taken were a black billfold valued at $20, a Social Security Card valued at $1; 13-15 $20 bills valued at between $260 and $300 and five photographs of family remembers valued at $1.25.

-Unlawful possession of a controlled substance and theft of property from the Wal-Mart Supercenter at 5100 Highway 31. A jacket ($39.94) and various medications were stolen.

-Theft of property from Highway 31 at Camden Cove. A compactor was stolen ($35,000).
