Roland Leroy Foster

Roland Leroy Foster, 76, of Clanton died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2006. He retired as an operator after 37 years with the Birmingham Water Works Filter Plant on Highway 280.
He was a veteran, having served during the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Sally June Davis Foster; his parents, William Nelson and Edith Pearl Foster; and his brother, William Junior Foster.
He is survived by his daughter, Wanda (David) Harper; his sons, William (Shari) Nelson Foster of Calera, Roland (Jackie) Leroy Foster of Calera and Larry Eugene Foster of Clanton; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Service was Jan. 5 at 2 p.m. at Charter Funeral Home, the Rev. Terry Hill presiding. Burial followed at Cahaba Heights Baptist Church Cemetery, Charter Funeral Home directing
