Willis Walden

Willis Walden, 82, of Columbiana died Thursday, Jan. 19, 2006, at a VA hospital. He was born July 1, 1923, in Oak Grove, Ala. He was a U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force veteran having served during World War II as a military policeman.

He had retired from Ingle Ironworks after working for 33 years. He was a longtime member of Good Hope United Methodist Church in the Kingdom community and will be missed by all.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Walden; his children, Jim (Joyce) Walden and Sandy (Sam) Dill; his grandchildren, Joe, Ron, Lyrae, Chris and Kim; great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Justin, Drake, David, Jacob, Morgan and Tony; three step-daughters; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other family and friends.

Service was Jan. 22 at 2 p.m. at Good Hope United Methodist Church. Burial followed in Williams Cemetery, Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home directing
