Horace A. Vansant, 73, of Columbiana died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006, at a Birmingham hospital.

He was born Sept. 6, 1932, in Wilsonville.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Eleanor Vansant; his daughter, Deanne (Jerry) Lamb; his sons, Dana (Jackie) Vansant and Derrek (Susan) Vansant, all of Columbiana; two brothers, Hobson Vansant of Shelby and J.D. Stinson of Wilsonville; and three grandchildren, Megan, Dane and Devon.

Service was Jan. 31 at 11 a.m. at Bolton-Letlow Chapel with burial following in Pinelawn Gardens, Bolton-Letlow directing
