Girls’ Tuesday night hoops: Jags make comeback for win at Albertville

The Spain Park Lady Jags bounce back from a seven-point deficit at halftime Tuesday night to defeat Albertville on the road 50-41.

Trailing 30-23 at the break, the Jags forced 10 turnovers and outscored their opponent 20-2 in the second half.

Tiffany Thomas led the way for Spain Park with 12 points, seven rebounds and five steals while teammate Tiaren Young added 13 points and six rebounds.

With the victory, Spain Park moves to 16-9 on the season.

Thompson 76, Hueytown 24: The Thompson Lady Warriors spent little time disposing of Hueytown Tuesday night, cruising to a 76-24 win and advancing their record to 23-6 on the season.

Zoriah Williams netted a team-high 14 points and finished with nine rebounds as all 14 Lady Warriors scored in the game. Rhonda Watts also finished with 14 for Thompson.

Indian Springs 42, Parkway Christian 11: Anchal Bansal hit four three pointers to lead her team over Parkway Christian Tuesday night 42-11.

Bansal finished with 18 points

as Indian Springs moved to 8-11 on the season with the victory.
