Margaret Roy Flowers, 83, died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2006. She was a loving and giving wife and mother and a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Helena.

She served in the U.S. Coast Guard as a radioman third class during World War II from Sept. 22, 1944, to April 10, 1946. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Robert Francis Flowers, and her brother, Ralph L. Roy.

She is survived by her children, Jeanie (Jerry) Stephens, Dale (Cindy) Flowers and Frances (Kris) Courson; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her brothers, Eugene B. Roy and C. Edward (Grace) Roy; and her sisters, Bessie June (Dorman) Dagley and Nell R. Cash.

Service was Feb. 21 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Helena. Burial followed in Helena Cemetery, Ridout&8217;s Southern Heritage Funeral Home directing
