Gregory joins Army National Guard

Shaune B. Gregory of Wilsonville has joined the Army National Guard. He reported for basic training to Fort Benning, Ga., on Feb. 8.

He will train for 14 weeks.

He is the son of Anita Rolling and the stepson of Scott Rolling of Wilsonville. He is the brother of Chris Gregory of Georgia and the grandson of James and Brenda Wheeler of Wilsonville.

He is the nephew of Mark and Penny Todhunter of Maylene. He is a 2005 graduate of Shelby County High School.

Ritchie completes military training

Air Force Airman Nathan K. Ritchie has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.

During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches, and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises, and special training in human relations.

He is the son of Evelyn Robertson of Helena and the grandson of Irene Ritchie of Salem, Ala.

The airman is a 2005 graduate of Opelika High School
