How many hours to you spend stuck in traffic each year? 46 hours? 60 hours? Eight hours?

Highway 280 or Interstate 65 are a part of your daily routine chances are your estimated time would be much higher than any of these.

No doubt Shelby County&8217;s growing traffic woes should be of great concern to all of us. Traffic impacts our economy, our quality of life and our future. The county&8217;s tremendous growth and prosperity show no signs of slowing, but, what happens when residents or employers finally say &8220;enough is enough&8221;?

Let&8217;s hope a solution is found before this comes to pass.

Part of the solution to any situation is fully understanding the problem or, recognizing if a problem even exists.

Thankfully, The Greater Shelby Chamber of Commerce is working to help us all begin to understand that question and, hopefully, find an answer.

The Greater Shelby County Chamber of Commerce is asking you for information relating to what your driving experience is like in our county. Have you found yourself stuck in traffic wishing you were a telecommuter or perhaps an inhabitant of some deserted island?

We&8217;ve all experienced the frustration of slow moving traffic and congestion; now is our opportunity to speak out and share our comments. Simply share your account on driving in Shelby County with the chamber; stories should be 200 words or less and include your name and phone number; note that you story may be published with permission. If you are like most of us, when stuck in traffic you ask yourself a few questions: Where are all of these people going, where do all of these people live, and what on earth are all of these people thinking?

With your help, the Greater Shelby Chamber of Commerce will soon help us answer the latter
