Calera Lady Eagle Shanavia Dowdell topped off a successful high school basketball career this past season averaging 24.5 points, 13.6 rebounds, 3.5 blocks, 3 steals and 2.5 assists per game. Her leadership helped the Eagles advance to the Elite Eight round of the AHSAA Class 2A basketball tournament. Dowdell takes her career to the next level as she heads to Louisiana Tech to play women&8217;s college basketball.
