Beatrice &8220;Bea&8221; Elwell Johnson, 86, of Columbiana died Saturday, March 4, 2006, at 7:45 p.m. after a lengthy illness. She was a member of the Columbiana United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, Jack E. Johnson; her father, Lucius E. Elwell Sr.; her mother, Martha Bender Elwell; and her sister, Martha E. Bell.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl D. Johnson of Columbiana; brother, Lee Elwell Jr. of Birmingham; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.

Visitation was March 7 from 5-7 p.m. at Ridout&8217;s Elmwood Chapel. Graveside service was March 8 at 1 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham. She will be dearly missed.
