Suspect arrested, charged in double murders

April 2, 2006, shortly after midnight Shelby County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 5000 block of Hunt Cliff Road in North Shelby County on a possible shooting. Upon arrival Deputies located a male and female in the residence, both of whom were deceased.
On April 3, 2006, the male victim was identified as Michael Adrian Edwards, 26 years of age, who lived at the Hunt Cliff Road address.
The female victim is identified as Ulesha Renee Stoner, 28 years of age, a resident of Shelbyville, Kentucky. The investigation has revealed that Ulesha came into town on April 1, 2006, and appeared to be staying with Michael Edwards. She was scheduled to return to Kentucky on April 10, 2006. The relationship between the two victims is unclear.
Tia Shuntraneke Davis, 25 years of age, a resident of Pike Road in Birmingham, Alabama, has been arrested and charged with two counts of Capital Murder in this case. Tia Davis is currently being held in the Shelby County Jail with no bond. The investigation is continuing and additional information will be distributed by press release when available
