Funeral Services for John M. Shaw, age 82, of Wilsonville, were held April 24, 2006 at

Bolton-Letlow Chapel.

Burial followed at Union Cemetery.

Mr. Shaw, who passed away Saturday, April 22, 2006, was born November 13, 1923 in Brookside. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was retired from U.S. Steel. He was preceded in death by two brothers, P. B. Shaw Jr. and Charles Shaw and two sisters, Ruth Tillery and Ann Lorino.

He is survived by his wife of 59 and one-half years, Bobbie Shaw of Wilsonville, two sons, Robert Michael (Shirell) Shaw of Wilsonville and John Patrick (Jeanine) Shaw of Chelsea; two sisters, Sarah Lee of Jemison and Birdie Lee Coleman of Groove Hill; and seven grandchildren, Michael Shaw, Chuck Shaw, Chris Shaw, Jessica Shaw, Jamie Shaw and Taylor Shaw.
