Spring football games set

High school football teams across Shelby County are in the thick of spring practice this week as they prepare for next August&8217;s football season.
A number of schools have announced spring games this month prior to the end of the school year.
The Chelsea Hornets will host Jemison in their spring game on Friday, May 12. A time for that contest had not been set at presstime.
The Vincent Yellow Jackets will also have their spring game on May 12, playing host to Shades Mountain Christian. Kickoff for that contest is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Shelby County and Pelham will join the Hornets and Jackets on May 12 as they square off in a spring game.
Kickoff for the Wildcats and Panthers is scheduled for 7 p.m.
The Oak Mountain Eagles will wrap up their spring practice with a spring game against Gadsden on Thursday, May 18 at Heardmont Park.
Kickoff for that game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
The Briarwood Christian Lions will host Hueytown in their spring game on Friday, May 19 with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m.
