Gene Willis Gentry

Gene Willis Gentry, 75, of Calera died May 3, 2006.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean War. He later retired from ABEX Corporation. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Delphia Gentry, five brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Lessie Mae Gentry; his daughters, Teresa (Larry) Hall and Gloria (Jerry) Jones; his sisters, Merrell (Curtis) Wilson and Thelma (Jack) Bragg, all of Calera; his brother, Winston (Geneva) Gentry of Jemison; his grandchildren, Jerry Jones Jr. of Calera, Robert Hall who is serving with the U.S. Army in Iraq, Brad Jones and Jamie Garza, both of Calera; and three great-grandchildren.

Service was May 5 at Rockco&8217;s Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Shelby Memory Gardens, Nolin Maudlin, Andy Walton and Mark Barnett presiding. Rockco&8217;s directed the service
