AHSAA All-Star rosters announced

The roster for the AHSAA All-Star baseball and soccer teams were announced last week, with five Shelby County athletes making the list.

Briarwood Christian junior Jeffrey Vincent will play for the North team in the boys&8217; all-star baseball game on Monday, July 10 at Joe Davis Stadium in Huntsville at 4 p.m.

Vincent finished this season with the Lions&8217; third highest batting average in school history at .495. He had 47 hits, 30 RBIs and 12 doubles for BCS.

Four local athletes will participate in the girls&8217; soccer all-star game at Joe Hunt Park on Thursday, July 11 at 5 p.m.

Teammates Caitlin Chrane and Addison Ragsdale of Spain Park, Bethany Bertovic of Oak Mountain and Leslie Jennings of Briarwood will all play for the North team in the game.

Three athletes from Shelby County will participate in the boys&8217; soccer all-star game. Matthew Wallace of Briarwood and teammates Chris Markey and David Esser of Oak Mountain will compete together for the North team at Joe Hunt Park on Thursday, July 11 at 7 p.m.

The boys&8217; soccer North team will be coach by Briarwood Christian head coach Mark Wallace.

Volleyball roster for the All-Star week was announced

April 11, and included three county athletes. Leah Griner of Oak Mountain and Janey White of Spain Park will play for the North squad, while Alison Young of Pelham will compete for the South squad
