Francis Virginia Talley, 74, of Calera died Thursday, May 25, 2006, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

She was born Feb. 24, 1932, in Jefferson County, daughter of the late Rev. Kaney Lowery and the late Flora Mae Peters. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by husband, Luther Talley; her son, Jeff Talley; and her grandson, Shannon Talley.

She is survived by her sons, the Rev. Donald Talley of Clanton and Rick Talley of Jemison; her daughters, Carmella Fulgham of Montevallo and Darlene Dansby of Jemison; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Georgia Anderson of Jemison; and a brother, Rudolph Lowery of Jemison.

Service was May 27 at 1 p.m. at Rock Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Barnett and the Rev. Ronnie Porter presiding. Burial followed in Rock Springs Cemetery in Calera, Martin Funeral Home in Clanton directing
