Phillip Lee Skelton of Pelham passed away Thursday, June 15, 2006 at the age of 44.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul H. Skelton and Carolyn Skelton, also of Pelham; and grandparents, Luther and Jessie Skelton of Cahaba Heights and Alter J. Bailey of Birmingham.

Mr. Skelton leaves behind a sister, Paula (Darrell) DeShazo of Columbiana; a brother, Steve (Susan) Skelton of Pelham; nieces and nephews, Lane, Matthew, Phillip and Darla Grace; and a great-nephew, Bailey. Mr. Skelton&8217;s family will always remember his values, unselfishness and love for family. He always took charge.

The family is arranging a private memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1100 Ireland Way, Birmingham, AL 35205.
