Calera police arrested a 31-year-old man Friday on charges of first-degree sexual abuse and sodomy.

Police searched Timothy Allen Rigsby&8217;s Village Lane home Wednesday, in response to a report of a sexual assault on a juvenile. Forensic investigators confiscated a computer and other items to be examined.

Rigsby was being held at the Shelby County jail on a $500,000 bond.

The Alabama Department of Human Resources and the state&8217;s attorney general&8217;s office assisted in the investigation.
