Bruser tapped as Leadership director

Greater Shelby County Education Foundation director Carol Bruser has been named the program coordinator of Leadership Shelby County.
In addition to her service with the Education Foundation over the past eight years, Bruser has also spent five years as the program director of the Youth Leadership Shelby County program.
&8220;It&8217;s a wonderful opportunity for me to stay involved in the Leadership program,&8221; Bruser said. &8220;I&8217;m looking forward to continuing my capacity as a coordinator.&8221;
According the organization&8217;s purpose statement, &8220;Leadership Shelby County is designed to develop the leadership potential of the surrounding community.&8221;
Bruser&8217;s primary duties within the program will be to communicate with class members and alumni and plan events for the program.
Bruser will replace current coordinator Ellen Corbett on Jan. 1, 2007.
&8220;Carol is energetic and personable,&8221; Corbett said. &8220;She will bring a new vibrant approach to the program. She will definitely be an asset to Leadership Shelby County.&8221;
