Marceille Virginia Chastain, 77 of Billingsley died Monday, Aug. 28, 2006 at her residence.

She was born Thursday, Jan. 10, 1929 in Shelby Co., daughter of the late Cecil Samuel Seale and the late Bessie Lee Brasher Seale.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her husband, Mr. John Chastain of Billingsley; son, Mr. Kenneth Cates of Ashville, N.C.; daughter, Mrs. Karen Ruth Ramey of Jemison; Step-sons, Mr. Mike Chastain of Jemison, Mr. Steve Chastain of Clanton and Mr. Mark Chastain of Memphis, Tenn.; brother, Mr. Clayton Seale of Calera; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.

Friends were received from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2006.

Services were held Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Douglas Orr, the Rev. David Autrey and the Rev. Rusty Folford officiating.

Interment followed in Pleasant Hill Methodist Church, Billingsley.
