Vivian Nolen Mooney, age 84, passed away on Sept. 28, 2006.

She was a long time resident of the Fourmile Community near Wilsonville. She was a member of Blue Springs Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Shelby County High School in 1941 and the University of Montevallo. She taught school in Shelby County in Wilsonville and Columbiana for a total of 32 years. She was an active member of NEA/AEA and the Retired Teachers of Shelby County.

She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Mooney (Wayne &8220;Frostie&8221;) Shaw; grandson, Jason Wayne (Denise) Shaw; and two great-granddaughters, Kirsten and Kendra Shaw, all of Wilsonville. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday night at Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home in Columbiana. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with burial at Old Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery.
