CCS blows out Warrior, improves playoff stock

The Cornerstone Christian Chargers cut loose on Warrior Academy 62-12 on the road last Friday night.

The Chargers (5-3) wasted little time putting the contest away, scoring 35 points in the first quarter and 20 points in the second quarter.

Cornerstone rushed for 322 yards and passed for 80 yards for 402 yards total offense.

Kirk Robinson got things started for the Chargers with a 5-yard touchdown run with Kirk Johnson adding two more runs of 16 and 25 yards.

Also scoring for Cornerstone were Jesse Silvers on 7 and 15 yard runs; Zack Ray on a 15-yard reception, Casey Perryman on runs of 12 and 19 yards, and Patrick Shaw on a 35-yard interception return.

Jake Horton completed four of 10 passes for 80 yards and one touchdown.

Perryman went over 100 yards for the first time this season, gaining 137 yards on seven carries for two touchdowns.

The Chargers host Meadowview this Friday night
