The U.S. Marshals Service confirmed Monday that a Shelby County man sought in the murder of his infant son three years ago has been arrested.

Ronnie Antonio Tompkins, 28, was taken into custody on Thursday at a work site in the Alabaster area by U.S. Marshals.

He is charged with killing his infant son, Juwaun Antonio Tompkins, on May 23, 2003.

Tompkins was booked in the Shelby County Jail last Thursday. He was released on a $75,000 bond on Saturday.
