Thompson tops Northridge Jags

The Thompson Warriors are fresh off a 35-17 region win over Northridge at home and await a visit from cross county rival and region foe Pelham this Friday night.
The Warriors are 6-1, 4-1 while Pelham is 6-1, 5-0.
But before facing the Panthers, the Warriors had to take care of business with Northridge.
Thompson head football coach Brian Maner said the Northridge contest was a good win for his team.
While Maner said his team played hard, he said there are mistakes that have to be corrected, but he would not elaborate.
The Warriors held command in the contest from the second quarter on, when they outscored Northridge 28-10.
Thompson rushed for 293 yards and passed for 5 for 298 yards total offense. Northridge rushed for 307 yards and passed for 73 for 380 yards total offense.
The leading rusher for the Warriors was Alan Reeves with 128 yards on 10 carries and three touchdowns. He was followed by Sideeq Cooper with 90 yards and one touchdown on 10 carries.
Adrian Marcus gained 77 yards on 16 carries.
Leading the Warriors defense were Paul Bennette with 13 tackles, Darius Ausmer with 12 tackles and Jordan Chism with 11 tackles.
