Bernie McNeil Killingsworth, 84 of Montevallo, died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

He was born Thursday, July 13, 1922 in Chilton Co., son of the late Burnie McNeil Killingsworth and the late Henrietta Samples Killingsworth.

He was a truck driver and worked for Alabama Power Company.

Surviving are his wife, Joyce S. Killingsworth of Montevallo; sons, Mack (Dixie) Killingsworth of Mt. Olive and Earl Killingsworth of Montevallo; daughters, Linda (Tommy) Dennis of Clanton and Nell (Earl) Dennis of Jemison; brother, Dave (Jean) Killingsworth of Calera; sister, Ann (Charles) Griffin of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; granddaughter, Gina Killingsworth of Maylene and Jennifer (Robert) Bland of Jemison; grandsons, Jeremy Dennis of Clanton, Derek Willis of Helena, Kyle Dennis of Jemison, Bret Dennis of Clanton and Christopher (Joanne) Crawford, M.D., of Sykesville; and four great-grandchildren.

Friends were received from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 6, 2006.

Services were held Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Alvin Porter and the Rev. Morris Holcombe officiating.

Interment followed in Providence No. 1 in Clanton
