Engineers add six staff members

Gresham, Smith and Partners recently added several staff members.
Janet Cox, IIDA, joined the Healthcare Studio as a senior interior designer. Cox earned her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from The University of Alabama. She is NCIDQ certified, a member of the LifeCare Advisory Council, a registered interior designer in Alabama and a charter member of the Alabama chapter of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA).
Shelley Kish also joined the Healthcare Studio as an intern architect. Kish earned her Bachelor of Architecture from Mississippi State University in 2002.
Lonnie Watts joined the water Services department as a senior CADD technician. Watts has 29 years of civil and mechanical design and drafting experience for water, wastewater, transportation and solid waste projects.
Bonnie Austin, AIA, joined the Healthcare Studio as a Project Architect responsible for project management and design. Austin is a graduate of Auburn University where she received both her Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Building Construction. She is a previous president of the Northeast Alabama Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
Jennifer Peace, P.E., joined The Transportation Department as a Senior Transportation Engineer with 13 years experience in transportation and civil engineering. Peace was the Engineering Council of Birmingham’s 2002 Young Engineer of the Year recipient. Previously, she served as president of two of Birmingham’s engineering organizations: the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Society of Women Engineers.
