A roll of film dropped off for processing at a Hoover pharmacy led to child pornography charges against a Helena man, federal authorities announced last Tuesday.

David Robert Shelton, 43, of Old Cahaba Drive, was charged with one count of possession of child pornography and twelve counts of receipt of child pornography.

FBI Agents were led to Shelton after Hoover Police received a complaint from the pharmacy after pornographic images of a young girl were found on film left for processing.

If convicted, he faces 10 years in prison for possession of child pornography, not less than five years in prison and not more than 20 years for receiving child pornography and fines of $250,000 on each count charged
