Members at Grace Chapel in Alabaster recently volunteered with the Samaritan&8217;s Purse program called Operation

Christmas Child.

The Franklin Graham ministry collects wrapped shoeboxes packed with Christmas presents and sends them to children all over the world.

Grace Chapel has participated in the program for around 10 years now, and this year families collected 73 boxes. They include both toys and necessities.

&8220;We try to get our young people and the entire church involved in making the boxes,&8221; said pastor Dwight Joyner.

Youth pastor is Shane Joyner. The non-denominational church is located at 64 Wilderness Lane off of Highway 119, just south of Alabaster.

Worship schedule:

Sunday school &045; 10 a.m.

Worship &045; 11:15 a.m.

Evening worship &045; 6-8 p.m.
