Funeral services for Charles Edward Thompson, age 85, of Shelby, were held at 11a.m., Thursday, Dec. 28, at Bolton-Letlow Chapel with Rev. Johnye Horton officiating. Burial followed at Bay Springs Cemetery. Visitation was Wednesday, Dec. 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home. Mr. Thompson, who passed away on Monday, Dec. 25, at a localhealthcare facility, was born on Aug. 29, 1921 in Jefferson County. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Thompson; three children, Charles Eugene Thompson, Claude Lee Thompson, and William Henry Thompson; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home directed
