Jonathan Tray Shaw, 21, of Jay, Fla., died Sunday, Jan. 21 following a car accident. Tray was a long-time resident of Jay and involved in his

community, volunteering 109 hours at Jay First Baptist Church and contributing over 100 hours to community service. He was also President of Christian World Organization.

In school, he was a member of the National Honor Society, president of SGA, Who&8217;s Who Among American High School Students, Mr. Jay High School, Most School Spirit, Calendar King, Florida&8217;s Boy&8217;s State Delegate, varsity basketball team, Outstanding Students of America. He will be missed by many. He is survived by parents, Becky and Gary Holly of Jay, Fla. and Thomas and Patti Shaw of Columbiana; sisters, Tiffany Lorine Shaw of Century, Fla., Kristen Holly of Pensacola and Crystal (Michael) Vasquez of Phoenix, Ariz; brother Vince Holly of Pensacola; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. T.R. Moody of Thomasville; uncles, Ricky (Sandra) Moody of Tuscaloosa, Roger (Janice) Moody of Thomasville, Robin (Saundra) Moody of West Colombia, SC, Rodney Moody of Shreveport, LA, Ron (Kaye) Moody of Gainesville, GA and Charles Shaw Jr., Blaine Shaw, David Shaw, Hugh Shaw all of Columbiana; neices and nephews, Mykiah Shaw and Sean Ware of Century, Fla. and Destiny and John Michael Vasquez of Phoenix, Ariz. The funeral service was held Wednesday, Jan. 24 at Berrydale Baptist Church. Brothers Chip Fox and Bill Goble presided. He was buried at Jay City Cemetery. A visitation was held 1:30-3 p.m.

Pallbearers are Justin, Josh and Jeremiah Daugett, Jason Birch, Josh Cannon, Russ, Dwaine and Ben Moody. Honorary pallbearers are Justin Prescott, Larry Pearson, Josiah Kemp, Bradley and Brandon Haverd, Miles Taylor, Brandon Weaver and paul Goble. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Florida Baptist Children&8217;s Home or Camp Winshape. Jay Funeral Home directed.
