Mary Ruth Edwards Nelson, 92, of Sylacauga, died

Sunday, March 4 at Coosa Valley Medical Center.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, March 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Providence Baptist Church.

Visitation was held Tuesday, March 6 from 5-8 p.m. Nelson will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

The Rev. William Rayfield presided.

She is survived by her sons; Jimmy Lee

(Sally) Edwards, Cecil Morris (Charlotte) Edwards, Paul Randall Edwards, all of Harpersville and Carl Jeffrey (Becky) Edwards of Florida; daughters Annie Lue Edwards Green of Harpersville, Margie Anita Edwards of Vincent and Ruby Nell (Roger) Edwards of Stewartville; brothers, Thurston Harris of Childresburg, Oneil Harris of Oklahoma and Huddie Roberson of Georgia; sister Helen Lofton of Mobile; 24 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren.

She is preceeded in death by her husband Robert Lawrence Edwards and son Lawrence Dixon Edwards.

She was a member of Providence Baptist Church. Curtis and Son Funeral Home Childresburg Chapel is directing
