Marvin Lee Charlie Pickett Jr.

Marvin Lee &8220;Charlie&8221; Pickett Jr. was born in Alabama on Sunday, July 28, 1968. He passed away on Friday, April 20, 2007 at the age of 38.
He was a lifelong resident of Shelby County and resided in Alabaster and was a graduate of Shelby County High School.
Charlie was an expert at fly-fishing and just couldn&8217;t resist the opportunity to spend an afternoon fishing on the river. Also, Charlie loved deer hunting with his cross bow.
Funeral Services were held at Charter Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 24 at 11:00 a.m. with burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Maylene,
Pastor William Evans and Brother Waymond Stricklin officiated the services.
Following the graveside service, a dinner was held at the Maylene Pentecostal Lighthouse Church for family and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 23 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Charlie was preceded in death by his mother, Emma Jean Huckabee and his step-father, James Albert Huckabee.
Survivors of Charlie include his fianc/, Barbara Collins of Alabaster; father, Marvin Lee &8220;Bud&8221; Pickett of Montevallo; sisters, Towannah D. Bishop of Pelham and Melinda Kay Duncan of Shannon; brother, James Micheal Wear of Shannon; three nieces, two nephews and three great- nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the King James Boy&8217;s Ranch. Arrangements were under the direction of Charter Funeral Home in Calera
