Indian Springs&8217; hopes of a third try at Altamont fell short Friday night in the AHSAA boy&8217;s soccer semifinal after losing 2-0 to eventual state champion Randolph High School in Huntsville.
After falling to Altamont 2-0 twice in a week to end the regular season, ISS was in position for another rematch if it could get past Randolph for the state final.
However, Randolph&8217;s Skylar Call had different plans, as he buried a shot from 18 yards out to give his team a 1-0 lead in the 36th minute, followed by a goal in the 77th minute to secure the win.
ISS goalkeepr Freedie Delchamp had seven saves.
Randolph later capture the 1A-4A championship by defating Altamont 1-0 in a sudden death penalty kick shootout.
