Funeral service for Davey Dodson, age 78, of Wilsonville, will be at 11AM, Wednesday, June 13, 2007, at Bolton Letlow Chapel with Rev. Steve Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Pinelawn Gardens.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM at Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home.

Mr. Dodson, who passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2007, at a local nursing home, was born on May 14, 1929 in Powderly, AL.

He served in the Marine Corp as a corporal from 1952- 1954.

He retired from US Steel as a Crane Operator with 42 years service.

He was a member of Wilsonville Baptist church for 30 years.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Sarah Nell Lowrey Dodson; brother, Andy F. Dodson; two sisters, Nellie D. Tillerson and Alline D. Winford.

He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Christine Dodson; sons, Barry L. (Karen) Dodson

and Philip N. (Janis) Dodson; brother, Bob (Bertha) Dodson ; sisters, Mary Ellen D. Hyche and Charlotte D. Cash; grandchildren, Blake Dodson, David Dodson, Brooke Dodson (Jason) McCollough , Jessica Dodson (Scott) Guarino and Sarah Dodson.

Davey Dodson was a kind and loving man with a generous spirit, a mischievious sense of humor and a light hearted nature.

He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him
