AmSouth Bank branch robber arrested
FROM STAFF REPORTS
Police have arrested a suspect in a Hoover bank robbery.
FBI officials said a black male, described as heavy set and about 30 years of age, entered the AmSouth Bank branch at 102 Inverness Plaza this morning, flashed a handgun and demanded money from employees. No one was injured.
The robber left the scene on foot, but FBI officials think he may have later fled in a darkly colored Ford Crown Victoria with a Georgia license plate.
