Porter-Fant

Hailey Porter of Columbiana and Chuck Fant of Columbiana were married June 16, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Columbiana.

The bride is the daughter of Dickey and Joy Porter of Columbiana. She is the granddaughter of Fay Porter of Shelby and the late Richard Porter of Shelby and the late Raymond and Jane Davis of Columbiana.

The groom is the son of Steve and Diane Fant of Columbiana. He is the grandson of the late Frances Tinsley of Hoover, Bill and Edna Fant of Irondale and the late Yeates Tinsley of Hoover.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

The maid of honor was Kathryn McNorton of Columbiana, cousin of the bride.

Bridesmaids were Bethany Bentley of Columbiana, Megan Vansant of Columbiana, Molly Adkins of Trussville, Kimmie Finley of Trussville, Andrea Duren of Trussville, Brittany Sicard of Acworth, Ga., Ansley Elder of Alpharetta, Ga. And Rhianna Richey of Columbiana.

The best man was Steve Fant, father of the groom.

Groomsmen were Owen Barnes, Mark Endfinger, Sam Arledge, Clint Tolleson, Lee Glasgow, Chris Castleberry, Andrew Porter and Daniel Porter.

The flower girl was Morgan Jeffries of Columbiana, friend of the bride. The ring bearer was Wyatt Miskelly of Columbiana, friend of the groom.

The bride is a graduate of Shelby County High School and Auburn University with a bachelor of science in elementary education. She is employed by Elvin Hill Elementary School in Columbiana as a first grade teacher.

The groom is a graduate of Shelby County High School and the University of Montevallo with a bachelor’s in business administration. He is currently employed by Dudley C. Jackson, Inc. in Helena.

The reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents with music provided by the band 4 True from Atlanta.

He couple honeymooned at St. John in the Virgins Islands and now reside in Calera.
