Crosscreek Television Productions in Alabaster plans to hold a dedication Aug. 18 for Voyager 8, a 53-foot, high-definition, expanding side mobile television production truck. The unit was built primarily to serve ESPN in its high-definition coverage of the NHRA drag racing series beginning in February 2008. Until then the truck will be used by ESPN for many of the college games in HD this fall. Voyager 8 will also be used by FOX for its coverage of the American League Championship Series and the World Series
