J.D. “Red” Kennington

J.D. “Red” Kennington, 93, of Goodlettsville, Tenn. passed away Aug. 13, 2007. He retired from U.S. Steel Rail Transportation in 1973 and was a current member of the Wilsonville Masonic Lodge No. 510 and had been a Mason since 1954. He was also a member of the Wilsonville Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Agnes Inez Kennington; three brothers; and three sisters. He is survived by his daughter, Betty K. (Robert) Moore; brother, Robert E. Kennington; grandchildren, Robbie (Jamie) Moore and Tiffany Ann Moore; great-grandchild, Robert Jacob “Jake” Moore. Visitation was 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Cole and Garrett Funeral Home and will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Valhalla Funeral Home in Midfield. Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Valhalla Funeral Home. Friends and nephews will serve as pallbearers, and the Wilsonville Masonic Lodge No. 510 will serve as honorary pallbearers. Interment will be in Valhalla Cemetery.
