Mr. and Mrs. Dewayne Shepard of Whigham, Ga. are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Suzanne Shepard to Eric Jerome Selman.

Eric is the son of Randy Selman and Janice Smith of Calera.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Quinsey of Havana, and Juanita Shepard and the late James Shepard of Greensboro, Fla.

She is a 2003 graduate of Robert F. Munroe Day School and is currently pursuing her degree in medical and laboratory technology.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Compton of Calera and Eloise Selman of Montevallo and the late Joe Selman of Montevallo.

He is a 2001 graduate of Shelby Academy.

He is employed with Circle S Timber Harvesting, Inc.

The couple plans to wed at the Avenue of the Magnolias, Coalson Plantation, Thomasville, Ga. on Nov. 3, 2007, at 3 p.m.
