The Kiwanis Club of Columbiana recently selected local optometrist, Dr. Stancil Handley, as the “2007 Citizen of the Year.”

Dr. Handley is president of the Shelby County Cattleman’s Association, an active member of the Columbiana Merchants & Professionals Association, a retired Boy Scout master and is actively involved in annual vision screenings at local schools.

Dr. Handley is a Shelby County native and a graduate of Thompson High School and the University of Alabama School of Optometry
