Funeral service for Sue Lucas Wilson, age 53, of Thorsby, was at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007, at Bolton-Letlow Chapel. Burial followed at Pinelawn Gardens. Visitation was Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ms. Wilson, who passed away Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007, at a Birmingham hospital, was born Nov. 11, 1953, in Calera. Mrs. Wilson grew up in Calera and moved to Thorsby in the mid 1970s. She loved animals, was a foster mom and a member of First Baptist Church of Thorsby.

She is survived by her parents, Rolland and Frances Lucas; sister, Linda (Gary) Ray; brother, Tommy (Ranay) Lucas; five nieces; four great-nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
