Duke 2008 board president of Alzheimer’s group

Jeannie A. Duke, adjunct instructor of social work and director of the social work practicum program in the Department of Behavioral and Social Sciences at the University of Montevallo, is currently serving as vice president of development on the board of directors for Alzheimer’s of Central Alabama. Duke, who will become the board’s president in January 2008, has been responsible for two major fund-raisers and received a grant from the Higher Education Child Welfare Consortium at the University of Alabama to develop and implement four statewide Department of Human Resources staff workshops. Duke also serves as chair of the conference planning committee for the Alabama Gerontological Society, which will hold its annual conference next year in Birmingham
