Bearden finishes training at Fort Jackson

Army Pvt. Clinton E. Bearden has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

During the nine weeks of training, Bearden studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons and field training exercises.

He is the son of Elwyn Bearden of Bearden Lane, Helena and brother of Melvin Varghese of Williamsburg Drive, Pelham.

Bearden is a 2004 graduate of Pelham High School
