Michael and Lynne Sims of Hueytown, along with Keith and Lynn Parvin of Rock Creek, are pleased to announce the engagement of their children, Joshua Michael Sims and Anna Cheri Parvin, both of Hueytown.

Anna is the granddaughter of Ellis and Bobbie Evans of Central Park, and Chuck and Sara Parvin of Jasper. She is a graduate of Hueytown High School, as well as the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She received a Bachelor of Science in health sciences, and is employed as the office manager at Serenity Palliative and Hospice Care in Hoover.

Joshua is the grandson of Vonda Bearden and the late Robin “Dude” Bearden of Cahaba Heights, and Ed and Charlotte Sims of Sylacauga, and the late Pearl Sims of Bessemer. He is a graduate of Hueytown High School, and also attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is employed as the engineering clerk at American Cast Iron Pipe Company.

The wedding is planned for Nov. 3, 2007, at the Chapel Somewhere in Time in Hueytown
