Johnie Lofton Parker Sr., age 88, of Vandiver, passed away on Oct. 2, 2007.

Funeral service was held 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4 at Union Hill Church in Vandiver. Visitation took place Wednesday, Oct. 2 at Union Hill Church. Interment took place at Union Hill Cemetery.

He is survived by his daughter, Joan Brasher; sons, Larry Parker (Donna), Johnie “Doodle” Parker Jr. (Lane); sister, Dasie Perry (Stanley); brother, Joe Parker (Van); his grandchildren, Steve (Brenda), Joey, Leah (Jake), John (Angie), Laurie (Greg) and Heather (David); great-grandchildren, Janah (Shannon), Melody (Daniel), Justin, Johnie, Christopher, Chad, Bailey, Britten, Noah Dawson, Zeke, Mackenzie and Garrett; great-great-grandchildren, Kaimen and Micah
